Fabienne Tsaï

Curriculum Vitae

Fabienne Tsaï is a graduate from IDHEC (Institute des Hautes Études Cinématographiques – France) and has worked in the film industry for 30 years. She has worked in distribution, acquisitions and, since 1986, in development and production for French companies, including MK2, Galatée Films, Pyramide Productions and Hachette Première.  From 1997 till 2005 she worked for Warner Bros. France, where she was an executive producer for the development and production department. During this period she acquired, co-produced and distributed films directed by Cédric Klapisch, Ang Lee, Thomas Gilou, Frédéric Forestier, Alain Berberian, Gérard Pires, Gilles Legrand and Merzak Allouache.  Starting from 2002 till 2005 Fabienne developed and produced Jean Pierre Jeunet’s film "A Very Long Engagement" and took care of its theatre and video releases. 

After leaving Warner Bros. Fabienne created her own independent production company "A Droite de la Lune” and produced a feature documentary with and about ballerina Sylvie Guillem, director Robert Lepage and choreographer Russell Maliphant. It has been broadcasted worldwide.  She also produced a short 3D animation film directed by Camille Bovier Lapierre and discovered the possibilities of 3D grammar. In 2013 she joined the CCFL as a production consultant and was in charge of the Stereo 3D shooting tests production.  As co-director of CCFL, Fabienne intends to explore in greater depth new writing for 3D and immersive worlds with the aim of creating and producing living experience films and works of art.

Fabienne Tsaï is currently writing an animation film and a documentary which will be directed by her.
Besides of that she has written two novels.
