Martin Uren, starting out as a broadcast engineer and moving into production and post-production for video and music-recordings, has over 30 years experience in broadcasting, video and music production. He tried to realise creative ideas through the use of stereoscopic technology, drawing on and developing his broadcast and photographic experience.

He has filmed six stereoscopic projects since starting the MSc in 3D Stereoscopic Media. He believes that stereoscopic 3D can immerse the viewer as a participant and not merely place them as an observer. Pieces he has worked on, each have developed his technical and creative proficiency.

Hes´ ongoing collaborations with Caroline Orme continue to result in each party developing their individual research areas within the context of collaborative practice-based research.
